Tuesday’s Glorious Podcast
Friday, July 30th, 2010It’s day one of Glorious Goodwood and what a wonderful week it is. Group races mingle with tip top handicaps, up and coming racehorses clash with battle hardened veterans and there’s more hard luck stories than a Las Vegas casino. It’s painful, but hopefully we can get the rub of the green and come out on top for the week.
To kick us off, Ross Brierley and David Kelner talk about nearly everything under the sun, Cornelius Lysaght goes through the card with a fine toothed comb and Declan O’Donoghue avoids Goodwood altogether and travels to Galway for day two of the finest Irish racing has to offer.
A top class week kicks off in style and you can catch it all on William Hill Radio.

The Roger Charlton-trained Genki will bid for a famous second Stewards Cup victory (Genki 7/1jf Outright) when he lines up for the traditional six-furlong cavalry charge at Glorious Goodwood on Saturday afternoon.
Trainer Richard Hannon has revealed Dick Turpin may not run in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on Wednesday as he feels the ground may be too firm for his charge (check out the Sussex Stakes Market).
Harbinger is now 6/4 favourite for the Prix De l’Arc De Triomphe after his stunning display in the King Geroge VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes on Saturday.
Workforce (10/11) is priced up to gain revenge over Cape Blanco (11/2) for his defeat in the Dante Stakes at York when the rivals meet again for Saturday’s King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.
