Mick Channon’s Nadooh has moved to the head of the Irish 1,000 Guineas Betting markets at a price of 11/4 with only two days to go before one of the biggest fillies races of the season is run at Curragh racecourse in Ireland.
Despite finishing 5th at the English 1,000 Guineas, Nadooh seems to have caught the imagination of punters in the past week. “Punters seem to be sweet on Nahoodh which reportedly has been working very well. We put her in at 4/1 originally and we’ve had interest as well in the last 24 hours for Saoirse Abu,” explained a spokesman for the race sponsor.
Jim Bolger has failed to clarify whether he will be running Lush Lashes at the Irish 2,000 Guineas, although it is expected that 4/1 priced Saoirse Abu will participate in the race. Should Bolger confirm Lush Lashes in the next two days it is likely she will move into the favourite position in the Irish 2,000 Guineas betting markets giving Bolger an enviable hand going into the race.
Unlike the Irish 2,000 Guineas, which will feature a field of only 8 runners, the Irish 1,000 Guineas is at almost full strength with 19 thoroughbreds entered into the race. Turf conditions at Curragh on Sunday are expected to be perfect.
